Terms & Conditions

By making a booking with Little Ones Play Hire, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions.
1. Definitions
1.1 "The Company," "We," "Us," or "Our" refers to Little Ones Play Hire.
1.2 "The Hirer," "You," or "Your" refers to the person or organisation making the booking.
1.3 "Equipment" refers to all soft play items, accessories, and materials provided as part of the hire.
1.4 "Hire Period" refers to the agreed time frame for the equipment hire.
2. Bookings and Payment
2.1 All bookings must be made in advance and are subject to availability.
2.2 A booking is only confirmed once a deposit of 50% of the total hire fee has been paid. This deposit is to be paid within 24 hours of the invoice being sent, if not, the requested date and time may be given to another customer.
2.3 The remaining balance, along with the $200 security bond, must be paid no later than 7 days prior to the hire date.
2.4 Payment can be made via bank transfer or credit/debit card.
2.5 All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable.
2.6 Prices are subject to change without notice, but confirmed bookings will honour the quoted price.
3. Security Bond
3.1 A refundable security bond of $200.00 (AUD) is required for all bookings.
3.2 The bond is payable at the time of final payment and may be paid separately or combined with the hire fee.
3.3 The bond will be retained to cover costs associated with:

Damaged equipment
-
Lost or missing items
-
Excessive soiling or staining requiring professional cleaning
3.4 If all equipment is picked up in good working condition and on time, the full bond will be refunded within 2 to 3 business days of date of booking.
3.5 Any deductions from the bond will be itemised and communicated to the Hirer in writing.
3.6 If damage costs exceed the bond amount, the Hirer agrees to pay the additional amount within 7 days of invoice.
4. Delivery, Setup, and Collection
4.1 Free delivery and setup is included for locations within 30 km of Parkinson QLD 4115.
4.2 Deliveries outside this radius incur an additional fee of $1 per additional kilometre. This applies to delivery and pick up of the equipment, a total of 4 trips.
4.3 If the location requires travel on toll roads, the Hirer may be subject to the cost of the tolls.
4.4 The Company will deliver and set up the equipment at the agreed time on the hire date.
4.5 The Hirer must ensure safe and suitable access to the venue for delivery and setup, car and trailer access is required.
4.6 If the Company arrives to set up equipment and finds the setup area is more than 50 metres from the parking location (unless previously arranged at booking), the bond will be forfeited.
4.7 The Hirer must provide a clean, dry, flat surface for equipment placement.
4.8 The Company will return to collect and pack down the equipment at the agreed time.
4.9 The Hirer must ensure all equipment is available for collection and that children are removed from the play area prior to pack down.
4.10 If access issues prevent timely delivery or collection, additional fees may apply.
5. Hire Period
5.1 The standard hire period is 5 hours unless otherwise agreed.
5.2 The hire period commences from the agreed delivery time and concludes at the agreed collection time.
5.3 If the Company is unable to collect equipment at the agreed time due to the Hirer's unavailability, additional hire fees may apply.
5.4 Extension of the hire period must be requested in advance and is subject to availability and additional charges.
6. Cancellations and Refunds
6.1 Cancellations made more than [14] days prior to the hire date will receive a full refund.
6.2 Cancellations made between [7-14] days prior to the hire date will receive a 50% refund.
6.3 Cancellations made less than [7] days prior to the hire date are non-refundable.
6.4 The security bond is fully refundable if the booking is cancelled, regardless of timing.
6.5 In the event of extreme weather or circumstances beyond our control, the Company reserves the right to cancel or reschedule bookings. A full refund or alternative date will be offered.
6.6 If the Hirer cancels due to weather concerns, standard cancellation terms apply unless the Company agrees the weather poses a genuine safety risk.
7. Equipment Use and Supervision
7.1 All equipment remains the property of Little Ones Play Hire at all times.
7.2 The equipment must only be used for its intended purpose and in accordance with any instructions provided.
7.3 The Hirer is to ensure the setup surface is completely flat, clean, dry, mowed and free from animal droppings.
7.3. The equipment is not to be used in wet weather. The Company are unable to set up equipment if the event is outside and it is raining.
7.4. If equipment is being used outdoors, the Hirer must contact the Company immediately if weather conditions deteriorate during the hire period.
7.5 Children using the equipment must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
7.6 The Hirer is responsible for ensuring the safety of all users during the hire period.
7.7 The maximum number of children using the equipment at any one time must not exceed the stated capacity.
7.8 The equipment is designed for children aged 0-5 years. Older children or adults must not use the equipment.
7.9 Strictly NO food, drinks, shoes, sharp objects, or pets are permitted in or on the equipment.
7.10 The equipment must not be moved, disassembled, or modified during the hire period.
8. Damage, Loss, and Cleaning
8.1 The bond will be forfeited in the event that the Company attends the site for setup and the area is insufficient for setup purposes or does not match the description provided at the time of booking.
8.2 The Hirer is responsible for the equipment during the hire period and must take reasonable care to prevent damage or loss.
8.3 Normal wear and tear is expected and will not result in charges.
8.4 If lost or damaged items exceed the $200 security bond, the Hirer will be invoiced for the cost of repair and/or replacement.
8.5 The Hirer must report any damage or issues with the equipment to the Company immediately.
8.6 The Hirer will be charged for:

Repairs to damaged equipment

Replacement of lost or unrepairable items
-
Professional cleaning of excessively soiled or stained equipment
8.7 The Hirer must ensure equipment is reasonably clean before collection.
8.8 Minor cleaning (light surface dirt, etc.) is expected and included in the hire fee.
9. Hygiene and Health
9.1 All equipment is professionally cleaned and sanitised between hires.
9.2 The Hirer must not permit use of the equipment by any child who:

Has an infectious illness or contagious condition

Has symptoms of illness such as fever, vomiting, or diarrhea

Has an active case of head lice or other parasitic infestation
9.3 If bodily fluids (vomit, urine, faeces, blood, etc.) contaminate the equipment, the Hirer must notify the Company immediately and professional cleaning charges will apply.
10. Liability and Insurance
10.1 The Hirer acknowledges that the use of soft play equipment involves inherent risks and accepts these risks.
10.2 The Company maintains public liability insurance for equipment failure or defects caused by our negligence.
10.3 The Hirer is responsible for:

Supervision of all children using the equipment

Ensuring safe use of the equipment

Any injuries or incidents occurring during the hire period that are not a result of equipment defect or Company negligence
10.4 The Company is not liable for:
-
Injuries resulting from misuse, lack of supervision, or failure to follow safety guidelines

Loss or damage to personal property
-
Injuries to children exceeding the age or capacity limits
-
Incidents occurring after the hire period has commenced and equipment has been accepted by the Hirer
10.5 The Hirer indemnifies the Company against any claims, damages, or expenses arising from the use of the equipment during the hire period, except where caused by Company negligence.
10.6 The Hirer is strongly encouraged to have their own public liability insurance or ensure their venue's insurance covers hired equipment.
11. Privacy
11.1 The Company collects personal information for the purpose of processing bookings and providing services.
11.2 Personal information will be stored securely and will not be shared with third parties except as required by law.
11.3 By making a booking, you consent to the collection and use of your information in accordance with these terms.
12. Photography and Social Media
12.1 The Company may take photographs of equipment setups for marketing purposes.
12.2 We will not photograph children or identifiable individuals without express permission.
12.3 The Hirer grants permission for photos of equipment setups (without children or individuals) to be used for promotional purposes unless otherwise notified in writing.
13. Force Majeure
13.1 The Company is not liable for failure to perform obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

Extreme weather events
-
Natural disasters
-
Pandemics or public health orders
-
Transport disruptions
-
Equipment failure due to unforeseen defects
13.2 In such circumstances, we will work with the Hirer to reschedule or provide a full refund.
14. General Terms
14.1 These terms and conditions constitute the entire agreement between the Hirer and the Company.
14.2 The Company reserves the right to amend these terms at any time. Updated terms will apply to bookings made after the date of amendment.
14.3 If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force.
14.4 These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
14.5 The Hirer must be at least 18 years of age to make a booking.
14.6 The Company reserves the right to refuse service or cancel bookings at our discretion, with a full refund provided.
